Use the Options page of the archive's settings notebook to
control how the Object Manager displays messages while saving
objects.
- · Use the Pop-up messages during processing drop-down list
box to control when pop-up messages are displayed:
- Select the errors only item, and the Object Manager
will display messages only when it encounters an error.
- Select the errors and warnings item, and the Object
Manager will display messages when it encounters errors and when it
needs to alert you to a condition needing your attention.
- Select none, and the Object Manager will not display
any error or warning messages.
- Use the Processing window radio buttons and checkboxes to
control the presence and behavior of a window that reports the status of
the on-going save or restore process:

- Select the Do not display radio button, and the Object
Manager will not automatically display the status window.
- Select the Display during processing radio button, and the
Object Manager will automatically display the status window. To
manually display this window, open the archive's pop-up menu, then open
the Open sub-menu and select the Processing window item.
- Select the Dismiss after finished checkbox, and the Object
Manager will automatically close the window after the save or
restore is complete. Click OK in the Processing window to
manually close the window at any time.
- Select the Show during automatic archiving checkbox, and the
Object Manager will display the window during automatic saves and
restores.
- Select the Log processing messages checkbox, and the
Object Manager will record processing messages in the log file
specified in the Log file name text box on the Diagnostics
page of this settings notebook.
- Select the Enable special functions on pop-up menu checkbox,
and the Object Manager will enable the Special functions on
drop item on the archive's pop-up menu.
